Employment discrimination?
Well, we all have different skills. Although some folks are extremely intelligent, they might have very few people skills. I am not saying that you don't have people skills. This is just an example of one type of scenario. Yeah, hiring managers can be s. I have been on hundreds of interviews (seriously) and I am a college grad too. I have seen these jokers pull all sorts of useless crap during the interviews. They'll talk on the phone to someone else for 10 minutes while I am being interviewed, they will ask me personal questions that have nothing to do with the job, etc. In other words, they know they aren't going to hire you so instead of telling you right there that you aren't going to get the job, they fill the time up by grilling you until their next interview. They'll even judge ya on image. And that is what pertains to your question. Some folks are just more immature and superficial than others. Don't be blinded by their position of power. Their position says absolutely nothing about their character. A person could be the richest man in the world but still be an ignorant weasel. If I were you though, I would take any job I could get right now. This job market is a b*tch and it is only going to get much worse. Lastly, I agree, you may actually have a case for discrimination. But the hard part is proving it.
