What was the best thing about giving birth?

I just wanted to thank everyone in this community for all your wonderful advice over the past nine months! My daughter Angela was born February 20th at 7:08pm. She was 7lbs 15.9oz and 20" long. Unfortunately, although I went into labor on my own and avoided an induction scheduled for the next day, I failed to progress after 14 hours of labor and have to have a c-section. The anesthesia they gave me didn't work, and I had to go completely under, so I missed the whole experience. However, the absolute best thing was seeing my little girl for the first time in the recovery room! She was so beautiful and tiny, and looked SO much like her daddy! She's a week and a day old today and we are all doing great. What was the best (and/or worst) part of your birth experience? Please share stories, and again thank you all! :)
