Hi Everyone! What do I need to start a business online?

Would I need to go through the same process as a regular business (papers drawn up to Incorporate, LLC, or sole proprietor)? Or would I simply need to reserve my domain names (possibly in every combination) so that others wouldn't be able to use them? Or is it some other official process?
