I have over 40 Gb of pictures i am trying to burn onto a cd?

I am going to college and just got a new laptop. I am trying to find a cd/dvd that will be able to hold all of my pictures (which is a couple thousands videos/pictures) What kind of cd/dvd could i get that will be able to hold all of them or a few cds can hold all of them. I do not wnat to have 50 cds with all my pictures
